New Ritter Solar Financing Law

Property owners in Aurora, Colorado,  have an easy way to pay for solar energy projects. Governor Bill Ritter signed a new bill making it easy for property owners to finance solar.

PACE, or the Property Assessed Clean Energy financing bill, was the last bill Ritter signed to get Colorado’s new renewable energy economy moving. After implementing the new energy bills, legislators celebrate Colorado as a leading state in renewable energy.

PACE allows homeowners to finance their solar system through their property taxes. Since the system is paid through property taxes, the PACE solar finance is easily passed from one homeowner to the next. By passing the law, Colorado has made a signifiant move to encourage the deployment of solar.
